Elisabeth Gardens | Stockport Collaboration Case study.
ENGIE contacted job centres, local schools & colleges in the Stockport area where we are working on Elisabeth Gardens to work collaboratively with Engie on a number of initiatives. A collaboration of Career & Education, Care Leavers and Juniper training took up the offer for ENGIE to attend and give Into Work Training to 6 of their candidates.

Everyone on site were really impressed with Nathan’s attitude, his work ethic and eagerness to learn. ENGIE’s Site Team asked Nathan to keep in touch and let them know if he achieved getting his CSCS card.
On 1st April 2019, Nathan came along to our Into Work Training Programme at Juniper in Stockport, where he carried out H&S level 1, CSCS training for two days and 1/2 day Manual Handling awareness & 1/2 day Safe Working at Height.
Nathan passed his H&S Level 1 and gained a wealth of knowledge from the other days of training. After the effort he put into his CSCS card training, Nathan was delighted when he passed his CSCS test and that ENGIE covered the cost of both his test and five year labourer card. Nathan got back in touch when he passed his test on 18th April 2019, and as a result, registered with Retinue the Agency who supply the workforce on Elisabeth Gardens. As a result of the training he received at ENGIE and his CSCS Card, this has allowed Nathan to gain experience on site and a weekly pay packet!
Nathan is feeling great in his full time job, and is enjoying the camaraderie of everyone on site.
The Stockport Collaboration is a great example that proves that the Into Work Training Programme works and can make a big difference in peoples lives.
