HoW College works with a number of organisations locally and actively participates in community initiatives; identifying skills and employment needs within the county and supporting businesses and our students to be successful. HoW works directly with a local café which is run solely by care leavers.
The College actively participates in the One Million Mentors programme; linking local employers and students to develop their employability skills. Care experienced individuals are given priority to receive mentoring and we are also developing our own internal mentoring programme.
We offer a 10% discount for Care Leavers in our hair and beauty salons Fusion based at Redditch Campus and Fountains based at St Dunstan’s Campus Worcester. Proof of ID and being a Care Leaver would be required and this would not be in conjunction with any other offer. Speak to the Wellbeing Team about this.
