Tara Group is a family-owned independent company, consisting of three companies involved in the construction of housing. It was originally founded in 1974 by Noel Sweeney and remains in the ownership of the Sweeney Family. With offices in Chasetown, Staffordshire, we employ over 300 people across our group and work with over 400 sub-contractors.
Our Group consists of Chasetown Civil Engineering, concentrating on infrastructure and groundworks, Cameron Homes delivering high quality new homes across the Midlands and Keon Homes who work in partnership with local authorities for affordable homes provision as well as delivering homes for the private rental sector (PRS).
Our approach is to stay true to the Company’s founding principles and values – employing a loyal, highly skilled and valued team; we have some of the best people in the industry and build high levels of trust with our clients. We have relationships with clients that go back 40 years, and these trusted, long-standing relationships are a testament to the level of service received and the ability to find solutions.
We pride ourselves on playing an active role within the local area and are proud of being able to support the local community.
The Noel Sweeney Foundation is the Charitable Trust of Tara Group, set up to support local communities in the Midlands. Following in the footsteps of Tara Group’s founder, Noel Sweeney, the Foundation’s passion is supporting grassroots projects and charities with young and/or disadvantaged people at their heart.
Employment Support
Both the Group and the Foundation will work with Care Leaver Covenant to ensure our current and future opportunities to work within the Group are promoted to care leavers. We will also work to support those whether interested in pursuing a career within the Construction industry or not, with any employment support such as CV preparation and mock interviews.
Property Maintenance Support
We hope our partnership will extend to practical support such as maintenance of properties used to provide accommodation for care leavers, or any other similar requirements by CLC utilising the skills and experience of our workforce and supply chains.
