Free Apprenticeship Support
Ginger Nut Training provides apprenticeship training in a variety of areas including marketing, business administration, management, IT and customer service. In 2024 we will provide a dedicated apprenticeships scheme for care experienced young people based in Colchester through The Ginger Nut Project.
To raise awareness of, and prepare local candidates for future roles we are offering free pre-apprenticeship support and information sessions including:
- Careers advice and guidance webinars.
- In – person taster days and information sessions.
- Information sessions for local stakeholders.
Employment & Support – Coming in 2024
We plan to hire 3 care experienced young people at our head office in Colchester in 2024. The roles include up to 4 years of support that will assist them in being financially independent as soon as they turn 18.
Taking a corporate parenting approach, we will help them gain the vital skills for independent living and provide a wraparound service which will make sure that all services that these young people are entitled to are accessed.
We will engage former care leavers to provide peer support, home safeguarding support meetings and financial budgeting resilience.
