Work experience opportunities and apprenticeships;
The Trust provides health and wellbeing services for the whole of Lancashire and South Cumbria with a population of around 1.8 million people. The services provided include, community nursing, health visiting and a range of therapy services. Wellbeing services provided include smoking cessation and healthy lifestyle services. The Trust specialises in secure, perinatal, inpatient and community mental health and learning disability services, including services for children and young people.
As a supporter of the Care Leaver Covenant the Trust would like to offer care leavers Pre-Employability support through a range of structured training programmes that are delivered with the support of local education providers. Access to apprenticeships such as Health Care and Health Care Assistant with support being provided with the application and preparation for interview.
The Trust will also provide Work Experience for individuals interested in administrative and support roles with dedicated and individual support in developing application and interview skills.
Also the Trust have developed a Health & Wellbeing Programme that can be delivered virtually or Face to face. This programme will help with general lifestyle support, looking after yourself whilst searching for work/maintaining a full time job and can cover subjects such as why
- Why diet is important;
- Why sleep is important;
- Why exercise is important;
- How to practice mindfulness;
- Stop smoking support;
- Money management;
- Basic Mental Health overview – provide resources and support available;
