The Liverpool FC Foundation wants to support care leavers through their Kickstart programmes.
What is Sport Works?
Sport works is a premier league funded training programme which sits alongside the kickstart placements. It aims to provide employability training focusing on workplace behaviours, pushing comfort zones, and developing the group personally and professionally.
The training will include a sports leader’s level 2 qualification and a level 2 qualification in the choice of the participant at the end of the programme.
Who is it for?
16–25-year-olds who are claiming Universal credit.
There are 20 job roles now live on the DWP system which can be split up into three categories. All paid at the real living wage.

(Working within LFC Foundation ASCC office supporting with general office tasks and administration)
- LFC Foundation Programme support officer IWill (social action)
(Will support the #iWill staff team to deliver high quality social action opportunities to children and young people within both school and community settings.)
- LFC Foundation Programme support officer Go Play! (sport)
(To plan, deliver, and evaluate a wide range of sports/educational activities to young people and adults in school and community settings right across Liverpool)
- LFC Foundation Programme support officer Inclusion (sport)
(To support in the planning, delivery, and implementation of the LFC Foundations Inclusion Strategy and equality-based programmes)
- LFC Foundation Programme support officer PL Stars (sport)
(Working closely with PL Primary Stars coordinators to plan, deliver, and evaluating a wide range of sports/educational activities to young people and adults in a primary school setting)
- LFC Foundation Sports programme support officer (sport)
(Working closely with Sport Development programme manager & coordinators to plan, deliver, and evaluating a wide range of sports/educational activities to young people in both the school and community settings)
- LFC Administration Assistant
(Supporting staff at our world class AXA training facility based in Kirkby. The aim is to provide administration support to the grounds team)
- LFC Assistant Journalist
(To support in the duties of the day-to-day activity of the team of journalists working across the official club website, club app and social media platforms)
- LFC E Commerce & trade assistant
(This role is to assist with the administration and execution of the e-commerce trade plan- online sales)
- LFC Grounds & Garden maintenance assistant
(Involve assisting with the smooth running of the LFC Academy grounds site based in Kirkby)
- LFC HR assistant
(a very fast paced role, with a real focus on delivering great service to managers and external candidates)
- LFC Merchandising assistant
(Support the Merchandising function with administration tasks. You will have the opportunity to help the team ensure that the right stock is in place, at the right time as well as supporting with the production of profitable seasonal range plans whilst working alongside the wider retail operations team)
- LFC partnership delivery coordinator
- (As Partnerships Delivery Coordinator you will provide overall support for the Partnership Operations team. You will primarily be responsible for assisting in the co-ordination of asset delivery and activation for our commercial partners)
- LFC TV production runner
(A runner to help assist in the many varied administrative tasks around content production, predominantly working on TV/content shoots in studio and on location this role is an entry position and is a great way to learn about all the various disciplines in content creation)
- LFC Social media assistant
(An assistant to support in the duties of the day-to-day activity of the social media platforms with a combined follower base of over 110m fans!)
- Regenda customer service advisor
(A real desire to provide outstanding services to our customers and be able to show empathy and understanding and be keen to develop their skills in a team environment)
- Regenda Fundraising admin assistant.
(To support to the Fundraising Manager creating an exclusive opportunity for engagement, partnership working across all 17 businesses linked within the Group)
- Regenda Housing assistance
(To support the Financial Inclusion team who will support with administration duties)
- Regenda marketing Assistant
(Marketing and digital media and will utilise this placement as a unique opportunity to learn and develop within this profession)
- Regenda procurement admin assistant
(Support with the planning and delivery of procurement activities and log outcomes such as efficiency saving and social value returns. They will provide administration of procurement/contract management systems and complete market research)
