Full Details

We offer employment and volunteering opportunities designed to boost your employability and enable you to play a key role in achieving our vision: to create resilient, thriving, and inclusive rural communities across the UK.

At Plunkett, we help people in rural areas to establish and manage community-owned businesses, this is people living in a community getting together to buy, manage and run maybe their local post office, pub, cafe, cinema, shop, woodlands, bookshops, or even fisheries.

Through our support, we aim to help community businesses to:

  1. Provide essential services and amenities.
  2. Boost the local economy with local supply chains.
  3. Create access to employment, training, and volunteering, especially for those excluded from the job market.
  4. Address climate change with sustainable initiatives.
  5. Promote equality, diversity, and inclusion by fostering safe and welcoming spaces for all.

We recognise young people, like you are a vital part of the community and we are keen to involve you in achieving our vision, bringing your voice to rural communities.
