Through combining practical skills, life skills and personalized support our courses help care leavers to grow in confidence, achieve meaningful qualifications and take the next steps to independence and sustainable futures.
Our courses within the sectors of Beauty, Sport and Fitness, Health and Social Care, Customer Service, Business, Childcare and Early Years and Education offer a range of opportunities to gain valuable skills, grow in confidence and take positive steps towards a brighter future through training, work experience and clear progression pathways.
All learners receive wrap around support that includes 1. Personalised and Individual Learning Plans 2. Pastoral Care 3. Careers Information Advice and Guidance and targeted additional learning support if need. We also ensure support is given to progress into further education, apprenticeships and employment or supported self employment which may be appropriate for some learners.
Acacia also run a 12 week Sports Boot Camp in the Crewe area for learners aged 19+ which has a Level 3 Sports Qualification attached and we are also looking at a similar approach for Health and Social Care in the future.
We are also really pleased to offer eligible learners access to the Turing Scheme which currently runs up to May 2026. This programme consists of a 2 week Leadership and Teaching Programme in Vietnam or Thailand and includes flights (within budget) accommodation, optional training, insurance and cultural activities. For care leavers there is an additional £135 available to contribute to costs such as passport, visa, vaccination and insurance costs
