Current Vacancy Pre-Employment Support:

Delt will provide you with all the information and support you need to understand the application and recruitment process, ensuring you are well-prepared and able to do your best. Support will include:

Assistance with our recruitment process and application.
Access to the Hiring Manager and a building tour to meet the team. This will enable you to gain a deeper understanding of the role and what an average day would look like.
Guaranteed interviews and feedback.
Minimum education requirements considered on a case-by-case basis, with alternative routes to establish skill level.
Access to our career mentors to discuss career paths, learning, and experience – both pre- and post-employment

2. Voluntary Work Experience

Join us as a volunteer for a minimum of 12 hours a week for 8 weeks to gain valuable hands-on experience in your field:

IT Technician – As a Volunteer within our Service Desk Team at Delt, you will provide essential 1st and 2nd Line Support in a complex, multi-site, and diverse environment. Our work helps GPs, children’s social care, local councils, and other critical services do amazing things every day. You will be the first point of contact for our customers, managing incidents, service requests, and inquiries. Delivering the high standard of service our customers expect.
Estates – Work alongside a skilled team in Special Educational Needs settings, mastering carpentry, plumbing, painting, electrical work, and grounds maintenance. Hands-On Experience: Gain practical skills in property maintenance while ensuring our clients’ estates are safe and top-notch. You’ll get to work on tasks such as emergency light and fire alarm testing, legionella monitoring, and fire extinguisher checks.
Human Resource – Working within a people centred team to support all customers with an exemplary HR admin service where every interaction is excellent. You will support with first point of contact for all queries relating to HR processes and procedures. Supporting with all administrative responsibilities within the HR team. Gaining valuable knowledge in basic HR guidance/advice to Managers and employees. 

Like our trainees, volunteers receive full support from a mentor. Volunteers also undergo a full onboarding process within the relevant team where they would like to gain experience.

Please note volunteer positions are not paid.

3. Sponsorship for Qualifications and Development 

Delt Shared Services will provide financial assistance to young people to support with gaining a new qualification, skill, or tool.

Applications can be made to delthr@deltservices.co.uk – please include your contact details, a brief description of what you are aspiring to achieve and the full details of the qualification, skill or tool, including type and location of where you will achieve it, what the end outcome will be and  include costs.
All applications will be assessed on merit and need.
Unfortunately, a full degree is not supported, but other qualifications or training courses will be considered.
