Choice Hotels Group is made up of three sea front hotels in the centre of Blackpool who are open all year round to meet customer needs.
We have developed a work experience programme that will introduce care leavers to the range of jobs within our 3 hotels – The Claremont, The Cliffs and The Viking. The programme will be agreed with each applicant and will take account of travel and working hours. This is an unpaid opportunity.
At the end of the programme, subject to requirements within the group there may be progression to paid employment including Chef Apprenticeships. All care leavers starting the programme will be provided with part or full uniform depending on the role. A meal will be provided whilst on duty.
The hotel does have a shift system in place and care leavers will be encouraged to experience shift work and this will be discussed including support with taxi fares if no public transport is available.
Note: The programme is flexible but could be 1 day per week over an 8 week period. All subject to agreement of needs of applicants and discussion.
