CURRENT ROLES AT SHOPMATE
1. JOB TITLE – TECHNICAL SUPPORT AGENT
• Employment Type: Permanent
• Reports to: Technical Support Manager
• Location: Essendine, Rutland
ABOUT THE ROLE
We’re recruiting new Technical Support Agents to work directly with our customers to educate them on features, diagnose issues and carry out remote remedial work to our software. Day-to-day, we work with Linux (Debian) and MySQL and this is a great opportunity for those with skills or an interest in these areas. Every member of the support team also receives direct support from their colleagues, supervisors and management, so a problem for you can be solved by all. We’re also passionate about training and skill development, so an advanced knowledge of these platforms isn’t required from day one.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
• Understanding the operation of our bespoke software systems, the hardware and software for both applications, and to seek ways to improve the reliability and performance of the systems.
• Take customer calls and attempt to resolve the customer’s enquiry or issue by remotely connecting to customer sites.
• Telephone customers and talk through certain functions, and explain the causes and solutions to the problems.
• Participate in the out of hours support rota (this could amount to 1 week in 8)
• Escalate issues to your line manager as appropriate (and according to procedure)
• Maintain a high level of call logging issue quality (ensuring others can follow your work)
• Liaise with customers professionally at all times
• Participate in ongoing training as systems evolve and new features or functionality is built
• Ensure the working environment is kept tidy and professional at all times
• Ensure that your own technical knowledge is kept up to date

2. JOB TITLE – INSTALLS & SALES SUPPORT ADMINISTRATOR
• Contract Type: Permanent
• Reports to: Installs & Sales Support Manager
• Location: Essendine, Rutland
ABOUT THE ROLE
A great opportunity to join a small team providing excellent, consistent and professional levels of service to our customers and all aspects of the business
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
• Liaising with wholesalers for setting up customers on electronic ordering.
• Liaising with wholesaler sales personnel and customers regarding new installations and additional requirements
• Liaising with engineers, wholesalers and customers to agree installation dates
• Liaising with Hardware regarding equipment orders
• Generating invoices for equipment sales and new installations
• Use of direct debit software.
• Use of payment software to take card payments and add payments into our database.
• Providing assistance with data input where necessary
• Assist and support the sales team with leads.
• Update CRM on a daily basis, regarding sales leads, logging every conversation and action including updating the sales team.
• Weekly CRM reporting to Manager.
• Liaising and assisting Customer Services on fuel integration sign-up.
• Assist and liaise with Installation team surrounding fuel sign up.
• Advise customer enquiries on partner services and additional equipment, liaising with Customer Service and Hardware.
• Upselling equipment to existing customers.
• Responding to marketing campaigns with outbound sales calls.
• To explain, promote and sell Local Loyalty to our customers
• Sign-up to delivery of services and equipment for Local Loyalty
• On-line EPoS (ShopMate) demo training
YOU SHOULD APPLY IF:
• You have strong educational qualifications
• You have a proven track record in customer service and administration
• Motivated, outgoing, organised individual with a structured reliable approach to both resolving
• issues and developing solutions
• You are a confident and clear communicator
• You have a strong work ethic able to work on own initiative.
• Open and honest person, comfortable working as part of a team and contributing confidently to discussions relating to tasks and projects.
• Good listening and problem-solving skills, – a logical thinker with the ability to communicate at all levels.
• You understand the Principles of Accounts (Finance)
