What you will do in your working day

The West Cheshire & North Wales Chamber of Commerce has an exciting opportunity available in its Projects Team. The Business Administrator Apprentice will be an integral part of the team and will work on a number of projects, providing ongoing support to the Chamber team and local businesses through a variety of innovative initiatives. 

Duties to include: 

Manage and input data and project information using a variety of tools including excel, word and PowerPoint, this will include engaging with businesses and tracking evidence across several projects
Ability to communicate effectively with businesses and internal staff to request and interpret information
Responsible for keeping information secure and up to date, scheduling meetings using outlook calendars as required
Updating information using the Chamber’s CRM system and the external funder’s CRM
Work with the Chamber’s project team to support the organisation of workshop events and attend events if required
Offer creative input and suggestions when required
Support the rest of the Chamber Team on administrative tasks and projects when necessary

The training you will be getting

In-house training plus the candidate will follow a Level 3 Apprenticeship programme and study towards a Level 3 in Business Administration
This training will be structured and delivered by Cheshire College –  South & West.
If the candidate does not hold GCSE grades A-C (9-4) or equivalent, they will be required to complete a Level 2 Functional Skill in the relevant subject

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

A permanent role may be available for the right candidate, but this would also be subject to securing future contracts
Annual wage£16,546.00

Working weekTotal hours per week: 37Monday – Thursday, 9.00am – 5.00pm and Friday, 9.00am – 4.00pm.

If your application is successful, you will have a chance to discuss your relevant prior learning or experience with your training provider and employer. You will all need to agree any adjustments to your training plan.
