At Cambridge Junction we offer a variety of arts activities with a focus on ensuring all our groups are accessible, inclusive and integrated. We offer free programmes with accompanying travel bursaries and subsidised places on programmes. We also offer free tickets to young people and groups with particular barriers in their lives, who otherwise wouldn’t be able to attend shows at Cambridge Junction.
Our programmes are inclusive spaces, open to all young people, with no audition process, and sessional support by skilled support workers. Our programmes range from weekly long-term programmes, to summer week-long intensives, to 1-day workshops.

Contemporary Youth Choir
Contemporary Youth Choir (CYC) a brand new, fully accessible and inclusive programme for those aged 11 – 25.
CYC offers a safe space to express yourself, connect with others and be heard. There is no audition process and no need for any previous vocal experience.
CYC will be led by Yvonne Hercules, but the content will be relevant to the interest and experiences of the group. As a collective the choir will make decisions on content, creative direction and public performances.

Junction Young Company
Junction Young Company (JYC) is an inclusive programme for young people aged 14 – 21, who are interested in and excited by live performance.
JYC participants are supported by professional artists and theatre companies, developing a range of theatrical skills, and annually the ensemble creates an original, devised performance which is showcased at Cambridge Junction.

Total Arts
Total Arts is Cambridge Junction’s fortnightly participation group for disabled young people aged 13-25. It offers opportunities to participate in exciting arts activities with professional artists. Through participating you can also gain an Arts Award; a unique and nationally recognised qualification to develop creativity and confidence.

Big Bang Theory
Big Bang Theory is an intensive course focusing on the technical aspects of live sound for performance.
Throughout the week-long project you will be taught by industry professionals who will show you how to operate sound in a professional venue, culminating in sound engineering The Fiver in J1 on the final day. The Fiver is a longstanding Cambridge Junction event offering emerging bands the opportunity to play on the J1 stage.

Industry Evenings
The evening will provide an insight into the wide range of job opportunities within the arts both on and off stage.
During the event you will get a tour of the venue, an opportunity to meet our staff and ask them your questions and you will take part in a workshop of your choice. You can choose between lighting design, sound engineering or theatre making.
