Care Leavers Into Careers (CLIC) supports Care-Experienced Young People aged 18-30 across the Liverpool City Region and Greater Manchester using a relational, holistic approach that focuses on the individual, their barriers, goals and intentions.
Our Career Mentors provide a point of contact not only for employability support – helping young people to become work-ready and work towards securing a job, apprenticeship, training, or education opportunity – but also with signposting to other services and help to access things like housing, benefits, and mental health support. This helps young people to increase their confidence and improve their wellbeing, relationships, and living situations.
CLIC breaks down the barriers (real, systemic and perceived) that Care-Experienced Young People face when looking for career opportunities.
We can also provide funding for training, wellbeing and personal items to assist with day-to-day costs.
