John Luffman Trading Ltd is a well-established and respected company carrying out groundworks and civil engineering projects across the South West of England.
A Groundworks apprenticeship is an opportunity to get into the construction industry and have the opportunity for further training and development.
The apprenticeship involves learning basic building methods and gaining an understanding of building materials.
It involves working outside (in all weathers) and being part of a team involved in various construction projects.
The typical working week will be four days on site and one day at college.
The basic requirements for the position are:
- A willingness to learn and work hard.
- A willingness to work as part of a team and to take instructions.
- A willingness to follow the rules on site to keep everyone safe.
The apprenticeship will include help with maths & english and it is not a requirement for the position to have already achieved maths or english GCSE.
