Hippo Digital is a digital consultancy that designs inclusive online services for organisations across the UK. We want to make a positive difference, and one of the main ways we’re doing that is by helping care-experienced young people find opportunities and start careers in the digital sector.

What We Offer
1. Explore job opportunities in digital
We are developing pathways into employment for care leavers who want to build a career in the digital sector. Some of the roles commonly found in organisations like Hippo Digital include:
- Content Design
- Data Analysis
- Software Development
- Delivery Management
Through the Care Leavers Covenant we provide digital opportunities to care-experienced young people (aged 16–25).

As a Care Leaver Friendly Employer, Hippo Digital is committed to inclusive recruitment. If you apply for a job with us and meet the essential criteria, you will be eligible for the Offer an Interview Scheme.

3. What Hippo can provide
If you’re not ready to apply for a job just yet, we can still support you through:
- Digital Skills Tasters: In partnership with the charity BREAKOUT (or similar partner organisations), we host beginner-friendly sessions introducing the fundamentals of Agile working and User-Centred Design. You don’t need a tech background, just a curious mind and a desire to learn. While we promote these through the Care Leaver Covenant, the collaboration with BREAKOUT ensures participants receive a structured, industry-recognised introduction to tech.
- Apprenticeships and T-Levels: We are committed to creating sustainable career pathways for care-experienced young people. We will advertise all our early-career opportunities, including T-Level placements and Level 3+ Apprenticeships, directly through the Care Leaver Covenant portal. These opportunities provide access to structured roles in areas like Design, Data, and Delivery, complete with dedicated mentoring and professional development.
- CV and Interview Support: We provide practical, hands-on advice to help you prepare for future opportunities. These sessions will be held at our event space in our Leeds head office. During these “Power Hours,” Hippo consultants volunteer their time to provide 1:1 CV reviews and mock interview practice in a supportive, real-world environment.
How to access support
- Digital Skills Tasters: Sessions will be shared and promoted via the Care Leaver Covenant platform as each one is scheduled. Because we want to ensure every participant gets high-quality, hands-on support from our experts, spaces for these sessions are limited. To join a Taster, you will need to submit a brief application. We want to support as many people as possible, but please note that a request does not guarantee a space.
- Apprenticeships and T-Levels: These opportunities are posted on the Care Leaver Covenant Connects Platform. You will need to follow an application process.
CV and Interview Support: Sessions will be shared and promoted via the Care Leaver Covenant platform as they are scheduled. Please note that these take place in Leeds.
