What it’s like to work at Story

Our culture is built around our values and our commitment to doing the right thing for our people, our clients and our communities.

We want Story to be an exciting, welcoming and fulfilling place to work where people feel supported to learn, grow and achieve their potential. We recognise that everyone’s journey is different, and we’re committed to providing a working environment where people are treated with respect and given the opportunity to succeed.

Support for Care Leavers

We understand that starting work can feel daunting, particularly if you don’t have the same support networks as others. That’s why we’re committed to providing additional support to care-experienced young people where possible, helping them build confidence, develop workplace skills and take positive steps into employment.

Through our partnership with the Care Leavers Covenant, we offer opportunities including:

  • Industry taster and work experience programmes
  • Apprenticeship and trainee opportunities
  • Career advice and employability support
  • Interview opportunities for suitable vacancies
  • Ongoing support and guidance from colleagues and managers
