We know our strength and success is because of our people and the continuous efforts they make to deliver our mission of Great Service, Every Client, Every Time. Our success is not just “what we do” but by “how we do it” which is why we take pride in our firm’s people-centric approach and shared core values.
Our Offer to Care Leavers
We are committed to increasing diversity and social mobility within the legal profession. As such, we are dedicated to helping individuals from underrepresented backgrounds, including care leavers, access and succeed in the legal profession.
As Care Leaver Friendly Employer of the Care Leaver Covenant, we will provide:
- Fair Opportunities: Suitable roles will be advertised through the Care Leaver Covenant including, where appropriate, ring-fencing roles within the firm.
- Inclusive Recruitment Practices: A guaranteed interview scheme for care leavers (young people who have left local authority care, up to the age of 20) who meet the minimum requirements for the role.
- Work Experience: Gain hands-on work experience to boost your CV with corporate experience and gain insight to the legal industry.
Workplace Experience Placements
If you have a preferred area of law that you’re interested in exploring as a career opportunity one day, work experience can provide you with a great insight into what that area entails and the steps you might need to take to start your career. During work experience, you will spend a week with one of our teams assisting them with tasks and learning from their expertise. Every day will provide new and exciting opportunities.
Taking Up this Offer
If you are a care leaver you can apply for work experience placements, or vacancies providing you meet the role requirements. While working within our firm, you will build connections with legal professionals who can offer guidance based on their experience and specialisms.
Suitable roles will be advertised through the Care Leaver Covenant, but CVs can be shared with our HR department for consideration for work experience. Any questions or CVs can be sent to HR@Biscoes-Law.co.uk
