Train in Taekwondo and become a Black Belt and progress to becoming a Qualified Instructor

Soulja Taekwondo Academy are an accredited Taekwondo club registered with British Taekwondo Association. We have been engaging with community and teach Taekwondo to all genders and all ages from novice level to advanced level with the aim of promoting well being and train future Taekwondo Instructors.

We would like to offer this rare opportunity to care leavers who wish and dream to train in martial arts and learn Taekwondo with the aim of obtaining Black Belt and becoming a qualified instructor.

Our programme consists of three to four years of physical (80%) and theoritical training (20%) and this will consist of:

  • Free Training and support for three-four years
  • Free equipment to be used during the training
  • Free Taekwondo outfits
  • Free insurance
  • Supporting and registering individuals to achieve to the Level 2 coaching qualification provided by British Taekwondo.
  • Sport UK qualification
  • Safeguarding qualification in sport
  • All Grading certificates to the rank of Black Belt Dan 1.
  • DBS certificates
  • Supporting the individuals to participate in the local, National and international tournaments (Participating in any competition is voluntary)

At the end of programme and upon obtaining the level 2 coaching programme, the individual can cooperate with Soulja Taekwondo as a paid instructor or even start their own club independently.

The responsibilities and commitments we expect during this time are:

1- Demonstrate respect and courtesy towards everyone at all times.

2- Participating at online or classroom training sessions.

3- Follow the structures of training set by the instructors.

4- Attend for a minimum of 3 hours per day, 4 days a week attending the club (times and days will be agreed in advanced)

5- Assisting the instructors with the club duties when it’s required such as setting up the equipment for training

6- Provide a small deposit upon successful admittance on the programme (The deposit will be returned if the individual finishes the programme successfully).
