Apprenticeships

At Nexus People, we are committed to supporting career development through paid apprenticeship opportunities that help you gain recognised qualifications, valuable work experience, and confidence whilst earning a wage.

We recognise that everyone has different strengths, interests, and career aspirations. For this reason, apprenticeship pathways will be tailored, where possible, to suit your existing skills, development areas, and long-term career goals within the business.

Our apprenticeship programmes combine practical, on-the-job experience with structured learning and training, providing opportunities for long-term progression within the logistics, warehousing, and supply chain sectors.

Apprenticeship opportunities are subject to successful completion of a minimum six-month probationary period, at the discretion of the Nexus People HR Department and subject to Director approval.

As apprenticeships are intended to support long-term career development, applicants will normally be expected to commit to a minimum service period of two years.

Eligible Care Leavers may also qualify for the government’s £3,000 Apprenticeship Care Leavers’ Bursary, subject to eligibility criteria (see GOV.UK guidance for further information).

We actively encourage you to get in touch for an informal discussion about our apprenticeship opportunities, to explore if they may be right for you.

An inclusive and supportive recruitment process

Our recruitment process is open and designed to remove barriers. We are committed to:

  • A guaranteed interview for anyone who meets the minimum criteria for the role
  • An informal chat about the role over the phone or in person
  • A named contact and regular communication
  • Constructive feedback for all candidates

We recognise that care experienced young people may not always have had the same opportunities to build traditional CVs. We welcome applications based on potential, motivation and willingness to learn, and we will support you in demonstrating your strengths.

Our commitment to care leavers

Nexus People are committed to:

  • Providing a fair and supportive recruitment process
  • Offering reasonable adjustments at every stage
