A-Star Transport is a family run business that has been trading for over 10 years. We offer an extensive range of private hire and contracted work for local and distance journeys. We also have contracts with local authorities to assist primary, secondary and SEN children getting safely to and from school plus day and residential trips, and also work a lot with Harper Adams University.
To support care leavers we will offer interviews for a range of full and part time jobs plus Apprenticeship opportunities, which could include roles in driving, workshop mechanics, accompanying children on journeys, and vehicle cleaners.
We pay above the standard minimum wage with average earnings within the company being 11.50-12.50 per hour.
This could be an ideal opportunity for care leavers to find out more about the transport industry and we are happy to talk and help the individual make a decision whether this is the right career route for them.
