Bethphage is a charitable and specialist provider of support for adults (18+) with learning disabilities. We provide a diverse range of care and support services for more than 200 adults with learning disabilities and/or autism and mental health needs across Shropshire and the West Midlands.
Our support varies depending on the person’s needs, ranging from two hours a week to 24 hours day and night. Support is provided in people’s own homes, their family home, in individual or shared tenancies and out in the community. We support people in small group settings or on an individual basis. Ultimately, Bethphage’s aims are always the same, offering “Person-Centered” support to help people connect with their community through meaningful activities and interests.
If you are a care leaver who is interested in this kind of service we can offer you ‘Volunteer Work’ experience at our three day opportunities that support adults with learning disabilities and autism. These include: Oak Farm in Ditton Priors (a working farm where people we support grow produce and care for animals), Innage Lane in Bridgnorth (which includes a social enterprise where people make and sell products in the local community) and a multi-purpose community centre and library in Ellesmere, “Our Space”. Addition voluntary work experience can also be offered with our HR and Development teams.
We can also help care leavers to prepare for work by offering Mock interviews.
In addition if you are a care leaver with additional needs we can offer support through our “Shared Lives Scheme”, which enables care leavers to continue living with their foster carers where appropriate For further details see our website:
