In partnership with LA, Colleges, BFriends Trust, and South & City College, GMI is offering a 3-day DIY Programme that will provide participants with hands-on experience and training in construction-related skills. At the end of the 3 days, an award will be given to all participants as a recognition of their hard work and dedication.
After the trial period, the Construction Cares Programme will be rolled out across Manchester, Leeds, and the North East, providing even more opportunities for care leavers to gain valuable experience and skills.
GMI Construction is committed to ensuring that all care leavers have access to these opportunities. That’s why roles will be advertised to care leavers in the first instance, and all applicants will be guaranteed an interview.
In addition to the 3-day programme, GMI Construction will also be offering work experience, work trials, employability sessions, and one-to-one mentoring to help participants develop their skills and gain valuable experience in the construction industry.
To ensure that everyone has access to these opportunities, GMI Construction will be meeting with all LA’s in the areas where they are working to inform them of this offer.
