Further Details:

Greater Manchester Higher is a collaboration of universities and colleges who are working together to improve the provision of information, advice and guidance about progression routes to higher education (HE), alongside offering a menu of activities to raise the aspirations of young people in Greater Manchester.

To support the care leaver covenant we will:

  • Organise and deliver specific events and activities to support care leavers to progress to higher education.
  • Organise and deliver an annual awards ceremony to recognise the achievements of care leavers from across Greater Manchester.
  • Convene the GM LAC forum which brings together universities, colleges, local authorities and charities and enables them to collaborate to improve educational and employment opportunities for care leavers.
