We can assist care leavers to rent our properties and link them with our Intensive Management Team who will act as a point of contact during the tenancy, helping them settle during the crucial early months of living independently. The team gives help with any needs, which could include working with partners to get hardship funding or to organise furnishing and equipment. It can provide advice and guidance on money matters, mental and physical health, safety, security and wellbeing. Alongside this our charitable foundation funds engagement projects for young people, providing the opportunity to socialise, learn new skills and tackle loneliness. We also fund projects which can help with basic skills such as cookery or maths and English. We can introduce care leavers to these projects.
Our offer also includes assistance with gaining employment. Our Employability Team offers bespoke 1-2-1 support which has been designed to help individuals over a period of several months, building their confidence and employability skills to a point where they have been supported through successful job interview and during early stages of employment.
