About us

Kinesis is a financial confidence and money mindset education initiative that helps people explore the beliefs, experiences and behaviours that shape their relationship with money.

We take a different approach to financial education. Rather than simply providing information about budgeting, banking or financial products, Kinesis creates practical and participatory experiences that help people understand how they think about money, build confidence and make more conscious choices about their financial future.

We believe that a financial future isn’t fixed, and that understanding the relationship we have with money can be an important first step towards changing it.

What is the opportunity?

Kinesis is offering free online sessions for care-experienced young people aged 16 – 25, exploring the beliefs, experiences and habits that can shape how we think and feel about money.

This isn’t a budgeting class or a traditional financial education session. It’s an honest, practical and participatory conversation about money, confidence and choice and how we can begin to build a healthier relationship with money and our financial future.

Who can take part?

The sessions are available to care-experienced young people aged 16 – 25.

You don’t need to have any particular level of financial knowledge or experience. Whether you’re confident talking about money or tend to avoid the subject, the session is designed to give you space to explore your own relationship with money without judgement.

What will the session involve?

The session will explore the following themes

  • Where our beliefs and attitudes about money come from
  • How experiences and messages about money can influence our financial behaviour
  • The habits and patterns that can shape the way we spend, save and make financial decisions
  • How to recognise beliefs that may no longer be helpful
  • How to develop a more confident and intentional relationship with money
  • What might become possible when we start to see our financial future differently

The session lasts approximately 75–80 minutes, including a short evaluation at the end.
