The Shropshire Youth Support Trust (SYST) is a youth charity that helps young, disadvantaged people in the local area to have the opportunity to feel valued, find their passion, utilise their talents and potential to create their own job, gain employment or feel confidant to train in something love.
Our Mission is: To empower young, disadvantaged people into sustainable self-employment, employment, or training.
Our Vision is: To ensure all young people to have the right to be listened to, feel valued and unlock their potential.
We offer a 2-year bespoke support programme to help you find your passion, spark, or niche to work towards employment, or create your own job or business but mainly for you to identify your own self-value.
Through our ASYSTED support programme we have helped and supported over 250 entrepreneurs to start up their own businesses. You, too can be ASYSTED.
We know you are an individual therefore our programme is flexible to suit you and fit around other aspects of your life. Our ASYSTED programme includes:
- 1-2-1 Guidance, Coaching & Mentoring including self-employment andemployment.
- Wellbeing and mindset support to work towards self-employment/employment.
- Coaching and guidance on workshop modules relating to setting up a business.
- Templates & Guides.
- Access to Grant Funding and additional mentor support via our ASYSTOR panel.
- Access to Subsidised Business Space.
The Trust provides subsidised business space, coupled with intensive business advice and personal support, and innovative sales opportunities (generically known as business incubation) alongside intensive business advice and support provided by a centre manager and volunteer mentors
