Sky & The King’s Trust – Get Started with News and Sport

Spend a week at Sky exploring careers in News and Sport through The King’s Trust Get Started programme, delivered in partnership with Sky.

This opportunity is for young people aged 18–25 who are not currently in employment, education or training and would like to find out more about careers in the media industry.

Participants will learn from professionals working at Sky, explore different roles across News and Sport and develop practical skills in areas including journalism, content creation and social media. The programme will also provide opportunities to build confidence, meet people working in the industry and gain an insight into what it is like to work in the sector.

Participants may also have the opportunity to apply for mentoring and work experience opportunities at Sky.

The programme will take place at Sky’s Osterley Campus on the following dates:

  • Taster Day: 7 October 2026, 1pm–4pm
  • Programme: 12–16 October 2026, 10am–4pm
  • Next Steps Day: 19 October 2026, 1pm–4pm

Travel costs will be reimbursed and lunch will be provided.
