- You will be exempt from council tax up to 25 years old, whilst living in South Gloucestershire.
- Receive priority banding on the housing register and a setting up home allowance.
- Access to exclusive discounted offers and free memberships in the local community
- Receive support to access your social care files
- Receive a yearly university allowance and a graduation payment*
- Apply for a free bus pass*
- Receive a birthday & a celebration payment
- We’ll pay for driving lessons (5 hours), your first theory test and driving test, including CBT test*
- We’ll cover up to 6 weeks rent in advance and a deposit*
- Access to a dedicated South Glos Care Leaver App 24/7.

South Gloucestershire Council are committed to support care leavers transition into independence. As part of our commitment to the Covenant, we will continue to focus on developing our local offer by doing the following:
- Continue to raise awareness of care leavers across our organisation and promote corporate parenting values.
- Establish a programme of work experience and mentoring for eligible care leavers. All care leavers have access to Education, Employment and Training support and advice.
- Offer Guaranteed interviews for any eligible care leaver who meets the criteria. Considering Equality, Diversity and Inclusion and making sure care leavers can access the same opportunities.
