Through our partnership work with the Care Leaver Covenant, South Staffs Water will offer a range of support services for care leavers across South Staffordhire. This support will include:
A Discounted Tariff
A two-year discounted tariff, which will provide a reduction on care leaver’s water accounts. The discount in the first year will be 60% and then in the second year it will be 40%.
Financial Literary Training
We will offer financial literacy training to assist care leavers to manage their water bills. We will run sessions with up to 10 young people in the following under the following councils listed.
- Sandwell MBC
- Dudley MBC
- Staffordshire CC
- Walsall MBC
- Birmingham
- Derbyshire County Council
- Warwickshire
Employment Opportunities
We will provide the Care Leaver Covenant advanced notice of suitable employment opportunities to encourage care leaver access to these roles. Available vacancies will be posted on the Care Leaver Covenants website.
