Learning and Skills Solutions (LASS) offer fully funded training in Functional Skills English and Maths and a variety of vocational courses in London, Portsmouth and Southampton.
They offer traineeships for 19-24 year olds in construction, security, fitness and hospitality that involve:
- -Free CSCS or SIA training
- Certified Functional Skills English and Maths up to GCSE levels for those who have no prior qualifications
- Employability skills – CV writing, Interview techniques and soft skills needed in the workplace
- Work placements
- Progression opportunities into employment or apprenticeships
These traineeships are for young people who are unemployed and have little previous experience but who are focussed on getting into work and who don’t yet have a Level 3 qualification.
Traineeships are unpaid but LASS has committed to working to ensure that where possible expenses will be covered for care leaver trainees.
