ABOUT US
Here at Herts Mind Network, our aim is to make sure that no-one has to face a mental health problem alone.
We work across Hertfordshire to support positive mental health and wellbeing, providing a diverse range of services from our eight Wellbeing Centres and other locations across the county. Our services are locally funded, and available to all residents in Hertfordshire aged 18+, as well as providing dedicated support for 5-19 year olds. Find out more about the help we offer on our main website at www.hertsmindnetwork.org or for children and young people go to www.withyouth.org.
We aid individuals experiencing mental ill health to make choices, find their solutions, build resilience and manage their wellbeing. We work with care leavers and those who were unaccompanied asylum seeking children to provide support around needs such as housing and their overall wellbeing.
OUR OFFER
As part of the Care Leavers Covenant, our commitment is to provide the following for Care Leavers aged 18 and over.
- Mental health support specifically for Care Leavers who are volunteering or working with us. This focuses on challenges that may arise in employment, education, or training, helping to build confidence and provide practical support when preparing for work.
- Volunteering opportunities within Herts Mind Network. This is a chance to experience different services we provide, or gain knowledge in one particular area. We provide full training before starting, as well as the chance for continuous learning, support and guidance from a designated staff member.
- Guaranteed job interviews for Care Leavers who meet the minimum requirements for a role. We have positions that encompass everything from supporting people with their mental health in the community or one of our Wellbeing Centres, to working within our administration, marketing or finance teams.
