Offer Overview
1. Next Steps Project: This is a fantastic opportunity for you to find out more about The Hill Group, the construction industry, roles and opportunities and routes in. This will include a site tour, employment advice, the opportunity to meet some of our sub-contractors looking for applicants & the potential to under-take further work experience.
We will be looking at running the Next Steps project in Newham towards the end of October / Early November and welcome applications from care experienced young people, living in Newham and the surrounding boroughs.
This programme will run in other locations throughout 2025 so watch this space!

2. Management Training Programme: This is a 5-year higher level apprenticeship degree. This programme is intended to provide you with the skills and experience necessary to advance into management roles within our organisation.
Recruitment for September 2025 will launch in October 2024, with interviews taking place in February 2025, interested applicants can apply via Careers at Hill – Equal Opportunity Employer | Hill or email your CV to learn@hill.co.uk (and copy in CareLeaverSupport@hill.co.uk).
3. Hill Academy (Level 4 NVQ): This programme is designed to develop future Site Managers by focusing on attitude and potential rather than just qualifications. We will offer apprenticeship opportunities aligned with our next intake, providing a pathway for you to progress in your career. The details of the next programme, along with information on how to apply, will be shared once they are confirmed.

4. Supply Chain Opportunities: We will share all employment, trade apprenticeship, and work experience opportunities available within our supply chain through the Care Leaver Covenant. We will also encourage our suppliers to sign the Care Leaver Friendly Employer Charter, expanding support available to you across the industry.

Care Leaver Covenant Lunch & Learn with Suppliers: Lunch & Learn Sessions:
To demonstrate our commitment to the success of these initiatives we’re organising special sessions with our suppliers to make sure they fully understand the challenges you face. These sessions are all about getting everyone on board with The Hill approach to supporting care experienced young people and encouraging our sub-contractors to offer similar training & employment opportunities throughout their business.
Eligibility: No prior experience is necessary for many of our programmes, but a strong interest in construction and a willingness to learn are essential.
